HP's Mini comes with a higher price tag. The 8.9-inch Mini-Note PC weighs about 1.43 kg. Slightly on the heavier side and comes with a gorgeous display; not LED-backlit though. It has a 1 GB RAM and can run Vista Aero.

HP is getting close to an Apple Class Finish; its fantastic metal finish makes it look more like the now-discontinued 12-inch Apple PowerBook. In all if you want to retain a 'premium' quotient to all your gadgets, go for this.

You needn't be much bothered about connectivity; the netbook has Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi and bluetooth. It has a 6-cell battery; so you can run longer on a single sharge.

Asus has launched an array of Eee PCs and the latest entrant is the Asus PC S101. The netbook has had a total image makeover, with delightful details and crystal-adorned hinges. If you are looking for style, this should appeal. Weighing just about a Kg.

The netbook is just 1.8 cm. Thick and looks like a fashion magazine with a glossy cover, from a distance. It sports a 10.2-inch LED backlit display and also features an exclusive Super Hybrid Engine, which greatly enhances its energy efficiency.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi have almost become standard in Netbooks. It comes in two variants – a 16 GB solid state driver or a 160 GB hard disk drive model – however they cost the same.

Like the Samsung NC10, Lenovo S10 also got a 10.2-inch wide energy efficient LED back light display. Lenovo S10 comes in glossy flavors of deep blue and ruby red as well as in classic bold back. The keyboard is 85 per cent of the regular size.

The Lenovo S10 features Wi-Fi and optional bluetooth and has an Express Card slot for optional high speed mobile broadband connectivity simpler. You can opt for Linux or Windows XP, like most other notebooks.
